Yoga at Wildheart
Our journey began through decades of personal practice and grew into a spiritual practice and finally settled into a way of living. We desire to come alongside others that also want to explore this ancient science, this connection, this union, to themselves and the collective whole.
“Yoga Nidra is release of all doing, all effort to be anywhere but where you are. It is a subtraction of doing. In the absence of doing, you notice you are already whole.”
— Kamini Desai
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a guided auditory meditation usually done in a comfortably propped up Savasana pose. It is an ancient meditation technique that works by taking you to the brainwaves state similar to sleep, where the biology of your body makes is easier to disengage in thoughts and observe them rather than believe them. The techniques of deep relaxation, guided meditation, and visualization are combined to create a deep healing experience.
“Nidra translates as sleep, but it is not really a total sleep, but an awakening on the inner planes. It induces a state between being awake and being asleep known as the hypnogogic state in which the body enters a deep state of relaxation. In Yoga Nidra you can experience every cell in the body can become conscious. This powerful state can be used for deep relaxation, releasing memories locked in the subconscious and unconscious, and creating an expanded state of consciousness.”

Yoga Nidra improves our emotional health, our sleep quality, reduces stress, can heal trauma, calms the nervous system, and can heal physical ailments.
