An Introduction to Sound Healing

Explore the magic of Sound, Vibration & Healing

Join us at Wildheart for an immersive, hands-on introduction to the world of sound healing. This four-day experience led by Sam is an opportunity to explore a variety of sound healing instruments, learn the fundamentals of playing them, and discover how to weave their unique tones and vibrations into a sound bath experience.

Whether you’re simply curious about sound healing, looking to deepen your personal wellness practice, or interested in eventually offering sound baths to others, this retreat will provide a welcoming environment to learn, experiment, and discover.

No previous musical experience or sound healing training is necessary. Just bring an open mind, a willingness to explore, and a little curiosity about the world of sound.

We’ll offer multiple hands-on training sessions throughout each day, giving participants opportunities to become familiar with a variety of instruments and develop their playing techniques.

Instruments and experiences will include:

    •    Crystal Singing Bowls: Explore the tones, resonance, and playing techniques of crystal bowls.

    •    Gongs: Discover the powerful range of gongs and learn techniques for creating rich, immersive soundscapes.

    •    Himalayan Singing Bowls: Learn traditional playing techniques and explore the unique sounds of these beautiful instruments.

    •    Chimes & Bells: Experiment with smaller instruments and discover how to incorporate their delicate sounds into a sound bath.

    •    And More: We have lots more sound healing instruments to practice with!

Beyond learning to play individual instruments, we’ll explore the basics of putting together a sound bath. This includes understanding how different instruments work together, creating transitions, developing a natural flow, and building an immersive experience for participants.

We’ll bring everything together at the end of the retreat when participants have the opportunity to put their new skills into practice by creating and performing a sound bath for the group.

The emphasis will be on exploration and hands-on experience rather than formal certification or mastery. Our goal is for everyone to leave with a foundational understanding, practical experience, and the confidence to continue exploring sound healing on their own.

One of the beautiful things about sound healing is its ability to bring people together through a shared experience.

Throughout the retreat, there will be opportunities to learn from one another, experiment with different instruments, exchange ideas, and experience the sounds we’re creating together.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to simply relax, enjoy the retreat center and surroundings, and experience sound baths as a participant rather than a practitioner.

We hope you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for the possibilities of sound, vibration, and shared experience.

Our Sanctuary

Wildheart is a nature-based wellness sanctuary nestled on five private acres in the Upper Skagit Valley, surrounded by mountain views, forests, gardens, and meadows.

Our peaceful setting provides an ideal environment for slowing down, learning something new, and immersing yourself in the experience.

Accommodations include small rustic cabins, plus tent and  RV spots. Local participants who prefer to sleep at home are also welcome to commute daily and join us for the training sessions.

All wellness facilities will be available for participants to enjoy, including our sauna, cedar hot tub, outdoor shower, and other amenities.

We are committed to protecting our environment. Our entire property runs on solar power and our bathrooms feature composting toilets.

Breakfast and dinners are included throughout the retreat, giving us additional opportunities to gather, connect, and enjoy time together.

How It Works

1) Registration is free. Contact us to reserve your spot and ask any questions. Space is limited, and a waitlist will be available once the retreat fills.

2) We’ll have rustic cabins, tent camping, and RV accommodations available. More details about lodging options will be provided upon registration.

3) We’ll send a welcome email closer to the retreat with additional details, including what to bring, lodging arrangements, and our gathering schedule.

Leave with a foundation in sound healing instruments, practical experience, and inspiration to continue exploring the possibilities of sound.
